Marriage
The marriage covenant prefigures the new and everlasting covenant between the Son of God and all mankind.
Through this sacrament, Christians signify and share in the mystery of the unity and fruitful love that exists between Christ and his church. Christian couples are to strive to nourish and develop their marriage by undivided attention in good times and in bad.
Marriage Preparation
Any parishioners interested in getting married are invited to call the pastor as soon as they learn of the upcoming wedding. They will meet with the pastor and the parish team in order to walk through the liturgical rite of marriage.
This preparation will also help the couple to better understand the significance of Christian marriage and to make choices with regard to marriage preparation and the celebration of the wedding. Seven Dolors Parish does have guidelines for the sacrament of marriage available for couples.
